Welcoming world-class business education to Foundry

We’re proud to count ESSCA School of Management as part of the Foundry community — and not just any business school. With its Triple Crown accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS), ESSCA is part of the top 1% of business schools worldwide — and the only one in Luxembourg with that distinction.
ESSCA’s Luxembourg campus opened in 2023 and offers students a unique pathway into the heart of Europe’s financial sector, with its flagship Master in Management programme ranking among the top 100 worldwide in both the Financial Times and Shanghai Global Rankings for 2024. With 200+ alumni already working at top companies in Luxembourg — from PwC and Amazon to the European Investment Fund — ESSCA is helping shape the next generation of international business leaders.

We sat down with Antoine Rech, Director of the Luxembourg campus, to hear more about what sets ESSCA apart — and why they’ve made their home at Foundry.
🗣 Q&A with Antoine Rech
Director, ESSCA School of Management – Luxembourg Campus

What makes ESSCA’s Master in Management programme stand out in Luxembourg?
At ESSCA, we combine academic excellence with practical experience. We’re proud to be the only Triple Crown accredited school offering a Master’s programme in Luxembourg, and it’s one of the very few in the country to be recognised in both the Financial Times and Shanghai Rankings. That gives our students an edge — not just in Luxembourg, but globally.
What’s more, our Finance specialisation, offered here in Luxembourg, was designed in collaboration with local companies. It focuses on corporate finance, portfolio management, financial modelling, and risk management — key skills for careers in Luxembourg’s dynamic financial sector. It also includes a paid 6-month internship, ensuring students graduate with hands-on experience.
What kind of students is the programme aimed at?
We welcome international candidates with a strong academic background — typically those who already hold a three-year post-secondary degree (180 ECTS). The programme is fully taught in English 🇬🇧 and we look for students who are motivated to build international careers in finance.
What kind of opportunities does Luxembourg offer to your graduates?
Luxembourg is a financial hub — it’s #1 in Europe for fund management and home to a vast number of global banks, consulting firms, and institutions. Many companies here are actively recruiting young professionals, and with our strong alumni network — including at PwC, UBS, ArcelorMittal, Société Générale, Amazon, and many others — our students have great access to career opportunities from day one.
What do you appreciate about being based at The Foundry?
Foundry offers a unique environment — it’s creative, art-filled, and energetic. That’s not something you find every day in higher education. There’s also a real synergy between our students and the entrepreneurial community here. The presence of Foundry International and the various startup services offered makes this a natural fit for students interested in innovation and global business. It’s the perfect base for preparing young talent to enter the fast-moving world of finance.
